Types of Tokens

Utility Tokens

  • Provide investors access to use certain features of a project, such as:
    • Payment within the project ecosystem
    • Discounted fees. VIP perks
  • Instead of using the tokens, Investors can sell them on digital asset exchanges for returns.
  • Examples: Ethereum, Zetrix, Torum

Asset-backed tokens

  • Provide certain rights to real-world assets, such as real estate and luxurious items!
  • Token holders get a cut of profits from the sale of underlying assets and, in some cases, they can use the actual asset!
  • Examples: MFAI’s tokenized Millenium Sapphire, Kenedix’s tokenized hotel.

Tokenised Shares

  • Digital representation of company shares 
  • Investors get the perks of a share with added efficiency and transferability.
  • Examples: Enegra Group, Tokensoft

Tokenised Debt

Profit/Revenue Sharing Token

  • Represents a claim of future profit or revenue of a project
  • Investors receive a portion of the earnings by the underlying project
  • Republic, PancakeSwap (DeFi)
